Dr. Luis Antonio Tarango Arámbula

PRESIDENT

Luis Tarango is a Full-time Professor and Researcher at the Colegio de Postgraduados, Campus San Luis Potosí, where he has dedicated over 35 years to research, teaching, and outreach in the field of natural resources. His academic background includes a bachelor’s degree from the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo (1985), a master’s degree in wildlife and fisheries from New Mexico State University (1994), and a Ph.D. in Natural Resources from The University of Arizona (2000).

Dr. Cuauhcihualt Vital García

SECRETARY

Cuau has been a full-time professor and researcher at Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juarez for the last 15 years, she teaches at the Veterinary undergraduate and at the Animal Science graduate program. She graduated from University of Texas at El Paso with a bachelor’s degree in biology and went on to Indiana University at Bloomington to pursue her doctoral degree in ecology, evolution and behavior.

Dr. César Posadas Leal

TREASURER

César Posadas is a Full-time Professor and Researcher in the Agronomy School at Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosi (San Luis Potosi University), where he has dedicated over 19 years to research, teaching, and outreach in the field of natural resources. His academic background includes a bachelor’s degree from the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosi (1990), a master’s degree in wildlife and Fisheries from New Mexico State University (1997), and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the Instituto Potosino de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica (IPICYT) (2009).
